There is a reason that Peanut butter cookies are considered a time honored classic.  This classic peanut butter cookies recipe is quick and easy to prepare and will surely be a favorite by your family and friends. They are packed full of flavor and have great peanut butter taste! 

Ingredients:
2 1/2 all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2
teaspoon salt
1 cup granulated sugar 
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
 2 egg 

Steps

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Combine Flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt until well blended and set aside.
3. Beat butter, peanut butter and sugars in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. 4. Slowly add flour mixture, beating well after each addition.
5. Refrigerate cookie dough for 2 hours (this is optional, I have done it both ways and chilled or not, they come out delicious)
6. Shape dough into about 1 1/2-inch balls. Place about 3 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Flatten in crisscross pattern with fork dipped into sugar (optional)
7. Bake 8 to 10 min. or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets 3 min.; remove to wire racks. Cool completely.
